Overview
Frist Year Mechatronics project taken above the project requirements by implementing a software controlled conveyor belt combined with a 5 DOF servo robotic arm and IR beam break sensor. Controlled by 2 Arduino nano boards, NEMA Stepper motor and DRV8825 driver along with an IR beam-break sensor for object detection to control a pick-and-place motion. Can run both directions and variable speed and has an option for passthrough mode for continuous motion or enabling a switch for automated pick and place. Vincenzo Lombardo is the group leader and lead builder/programmer. Our other group members supported in AutoCAD documentation, 3D printing, timetable/logs and report deliverables. This submission was suggested by Professor Mohammad Al-Rady.

Explanation and Demonstration of Miniature Conveyor Belt System for First Year Project 2023 Group C2. Software controlled conveyor belt with NEMA 17 motor and driver along with extra functionality with robotic arm and light beam sensor for pick and place.
