Martina Sine is a recent honours graduate of Humber College's Bachelor of Interior Design program. She is originally from Calgary, AB and plans to start her career back out west in the residential and hospitality design sector.
The idea behind The Eastern Avenue Boutique Hotel was to create a space that can act as an escape or hideaway without having to travel. This concept was formulated based on the global travel restrictions and bans caused by the current COVID-19 pandemic. This Evidence-Based design approach for The Eastern Avenue Boutique Hotel will provide guests with a variety of amenities that have been thoughtfully procured to create an experience that will attract users to a hotel regardless if they are locals or tourists. The hideaway concept will look at how providing a versatile environment can support the resurgence and revitalization of hotel in a post-pandemic world, as well as withstand the implications caused by other international outbreaks.

"the complex interconnections between people's lives in modern society" The Eastern Avenue Hotel will help to facilitate connections within the community by offering multi-use amenities and services.
415 Eastern Avenue is located in the community of South Riverdale in Leslieville situated in the east end of Toronto. The surrounding area is highly developed with many other businesses and residential communities that neighbour the building. Eastern Avenue is near Queen Street East which is home to a variety of shops, hotels, and restaurants. The Eastern Avenue Boutique Hotel features guest suites, a restaurant & bar, a café, a gym, a conference & multi-use room.
