Accessible Education plays a central role at Humber to ensure that our academic programs are accessible for all students at the graduate and undergraduate levels. We arrange academic accommodation for classes, exams, internships and other course or program activities, as well as provide digital and Braille textbooks, accessible campus transportation, learning strategy instruction for students with learning disabilities, access to computer labs that are equipped with assistive technology, referrals for assessments and other services, and bursaries for students who meet OSAP's eligibility criteria.
MyHumber: View and manage information about your courses, grades, fees and more.
Blackboard: This is your hub for online course materials, support services, and key resources. Discover Humber Learning Outcomes (HLOs), designed to equip you with the skills, mindsets, and values for career and life success.
Humber Email: Students actively enrolled in one or more Humber courses receive a Humber email address, which serves as an official—and sometimes sole—means of communication, supporting the college’s instructional, research, and service activities.
Textbooks: Humber Campus Bookstores offer new and used textbooks, custom course packages, lab manuals, and digital formats. Students can buy or rent materials in-store or online with delivery or pickup options, and may sell back used books for up to 50% of the original price at designated times each term.
Humber Student card: The virtual ONECard is your official digital ID at Humber and the University of Guelph-Humber, providing convenient access to campus services and facilities. It also functions as a secure payment method for on-campus purchases, bringing multiple services together in one easy-to-use app.
ITS for Students: At Humber, we support your academic journey with student-focused IT services, including free secure Wi-Fi, open labs with printing, equipment rentals, file storage, email, and more—plus 24/7 tech support!
Residence: Residence at Humber Polytechnic is a vibrant and supportive community where students build lifelong friendships, share new experiences, and explore big ideas. With regular events, programming, and the guidance of dedicated Resident Assistants, living in residence offers a well-rounded and engaging student life experience.
Commuter Resources
Commuter Dining Plans & Gift Cards: Off-campus students can purchase a Reloadable Commuter Plan for convenient, cashless dining at campus food outlets. Reloadable dining gift cards are also available—great for students or as gifts.
Lockers: Lockers are available for day or overnight use and sold per academic year. Locations are assigned based on program and classroom proximity.
Food Services: Enjoy a wide variety of balanced meals from popular food brands and culturally diverse options, including vegan, vegetarian, halal, allergen-friendly, Asian, West Indian, and more.
Study Spaces: Open Access Learning Spaces across campus provide study areas with computers, collaborative spaces, power outlets, and multi-function printers (copy/scan/print).
Transportation: Both North and Lakeshore campuses are easily accessible via TTC. North Campus also connects with GO Transit, MiWay, Brampton Transit, and YRT.
Tuition
To complete their registration, students must pay or defer their tuition fees by the registration deadline.
Canada Student Loans
There are two kinds of government student loans for domestic students: federal (Canada Student Loans) and provincial. Canadian citizens, Permanent Residents and protected persons are eligible to apply to provincial student loan programs.
You should apply as early as possible as application deadlines vary by province. We recommend that Ontario residents apply for OSAP (Ontario Student Assistance Program) funding by mid-June. If you are receiving a government student loan, you are eligible to receive a fee deferral.
Scholarships and Bursaries
There are many sources of financial aid available to help you cover the costs of your Humber Polytechnic education – from government aid and scholarships to Humber bursaries and grants. Understand what to pay and how to pay for it. There are lots of ways to pay or arrange to pay your fees. Find the way that works best for you.
