Hi, my name is Thomas Pantano and I'm a graduate from the Industrial Design Program at Humber college. From a young age, I've always had a passion for sketching and an interest in model making. I found it was easy for me to express myself creatively through design.
The four essential pillars encompass human-centric design approach and the understanding of full-bodied, three dimensional physical interaction of user, product and environment. The projects generate innovative solutions using research-driven, evidence-based designs which focus on the user experience.
By cleaning litter within urban cities it enhances the living conditions for both the residents and wildlife.
SWARM satisfies full-body human interaction, with inclusion of numerous touch points within the design.
The SWARM scooters are adjustable to accommodate all body sizes.
SWARM utilises solar power to create an electric environmentally sound system.
Along city streets, the formulation of trash has become an increasingly major and problematic issue. This is due to the fact that there is such a high volume of residents that live in and around the area. When individuals enjoy outdoor areas they tend to leave behind trash and other garbage that they have accumulated, or brought with them. This becomes extremely problematic and contributes to the city looking unkempt and negatively impacts the environment. It is estimated that Toronto has contributed $27 million dollars each year in its litter cleaning efforts. Unfortunately, the amount of money that is used to clean up the streets is not enough to contribute to improving this problem. Thus, it is important to implement a plan that is cost-effective, efficient, and sustainable in which we can enhance this problem.
