Overview

The project aims to develop an internal tool platform to automate and simplify IT workflows for managing the IT services of Hamilton Container Terminal (HCT) and related companies. The project seeks to address the challenges faced by HCT in managing their 100+ users in Google Workspace due to limitations of the Google Workspace Admin panel. The proposed solution will heavily rely on an existing open-source command line project, GAM V3, and will provide access to user-level settings such as email signature settings, autoresponder settings, and dynamic email filters/labels. The platform will be developed using a Nodejs backend layer service and React frontend and will be primarily used by the HCT IT Services team. The solution is expected to increase the efficiency of the HCT IT Services team by 45% and provide them with more flexibility and power to make changes according to leadership's requests. The project will produce several deliverables, including a tested and operational login page, signature and filter management module, onboarding and offboarding module, and a complete and thorough user guide and technical documentation.
