Overview
This project is solving a problem in the retail industry. Our focus is on big franchises such as Walmart, No-frills, Costco, and many more to list. So as everyone is aware that when we are done shopping and have loaded our stuff into our cars, we tend to leave the shopping carts (buggy) somewhere nearby and not return them to their designated place, this has caused several losses to companies in purchasing new ones and maintaining them in different weather. This tendency also leads to a lack of carts for the new customers, as they are not able to find the carts when they enter the store for shopping. So, we are providing a solution that will give a big relief to the company or the retailer, in form of a program. Our program will be run on the parking CCTV cameras and will be looking for empty shopping carts anywhere in the frame and will immediately send an email and SMS to the registered user so that they can collect the shopping cart and place it in the store, for the next customer to use.
