Overview

SmartY is an Internet of Things system that consists of hardware devices and a software application that uses sensors to detect temperature, humidity, gas levels of a specific place in a home or a building. A GPS component is be able to detect whether a user is within the vicinity of their home. The hardware components and the software application are able to communicate through a database. The hardware uploads data to the database while the software application continuously checks the database for changes in readings. Once the software reads a dangerous level in any of the readings, a buzzer is set off from the device, the device owner will be notified through the software application - giving the homeowner peace of mind knowing they can detect a problem in their home even before it becomes a problem.
