Overview

We did some front-end research regarding municipalities and their approach to dealing with roadside hazards as well as the procedures they have in place to report said roadside hazards. What we found is that there is a huge inconsistency with the time and reporting delay when it came to how different municipalities handle hazard reporting. The solution that we produced was a system consisting of a mobile application coded using Flutter attached to a back-end built on Firestore. We named it Project RoadX. RoadX is an easy-to-use application that consolidates reporting potholes and filing for claims in case of vehicle damage from said road hazards. RoadX is accessible using both iOS and Android.
