Overview

We used AWS to create a proof-of-concept project demonstrating how SPLUNK can be used as a security tool for centrally managing the log and machine data of the machines on our network. To prove SPLUNK works, we used an attack machine to deploy phishing and email spoofing attacks on our network. With the use of custom alerts, we could detect these attacks and take the appropriate actions to defend against them.
