Overview

The Augmented Security System modernizes the way home security systems are developed since there is no longer a need for a physical control interface installed inside the home at all. The entire system can be controlled and monitored through a very simple phone application. The application constantly monitors the homes environment using various sensors on the physical devices and periodically stores the information into a cloud database, where the application then retrieves this information to report to the user on demand. Using a cloud/application-based interface instead of a physical interface allows the user to remotely control their security system, which will allow the user to always feel in control.

The following video demonstrates the core functionality of the Augmented Security System, and clearly explains how the system was implemented using the Android APP as well as the cloud database. Physical demonstrations are also present within the video that will visually display the Augmented Security System.
