Overview
Day by day, technology advances at a rapid pace. In the near future, coding will be taught in elementary schools, and many jobs that involve mundane tasks will be handled by AI (for example, Imagine Cinemas at Woodbine already uses automated kiosks to sell movie tickets as opposed to using part-timers). The purpose of this project is to create an AI that can count the number of customers who enter and exit a restaurant. This AI, for the time being, will be composed of a Raspberry Pi device, a compatible camera, and a fisheye lens, with the AI’s programming done in the Python coding language. The data collected by the AI will be stored on a secure web server hosted by Amazon Web Services, which will require a username and password in order to be accessed.
