Overview
The unique aspect of the SMARTBEATS smart speaker is that it has a Google assistant enabled smart speaker that's larger than Google's systems. Other than playing songs selected by the user when connected via Bluetooth and acting as the output media of the Google Assistant, the speaker also features various sensors that help track the speaker's current draw, ambient temperature lighting output and most importantly a microphone for voice input. The temperature reading and current sensors are sent to a database which is shared with the Android application to display the speaker's temperature along with its current draw.
The Android application features two main control features. This Android based music application entitled “SMARTBEATS”, allows the user to play a sample track or a few songs from the database. The next major feature entails a simple accent lighting control that will enable the user to adjust the lighting to their lighting for the speaker via the “SMARTBEATS” Android application. The enclosure itself should be mainly made of a plexiglass with a translucent look to it allowing proper light diffusion for the accent lighting. The design is made to offer a more premium looking product presentation overall. This all-in-one smart speaker has a potential to deliver room filling sound despite its small form factor.
