Overview

Aphrodite is a smart mirror developed by Kainotomia (our group), using the open-source MagicMirror² platform. Aphrodite can display custom layouts created by users in the Android or Web App. These layouts are stored in our database and can be set on the mirror from the apps. They contain software modules that display data such as time, calendar and stocks.

One of the 3rd-party software modules displays the temperature and humidity readings that are stored in our database from our DHT22 sensor. There is a voice recognition hardware module that can be used to show layouts and turn the mirror on and off, while outputting feedback on the LED hardware module. Our motion sensor can also detect user presence and will turn off the mirror once the user leaves the room.
