Capstone Project Summary: Meerby is a smart customer assistance app used by major retailers like Canadian Tire and Tim Hortons. In our capstone project, we re-engineered the front-end using React Native, with a strong focus on reusable components, API integration, beacon-triggered service calls, and agile teamwork practices. This solution modernizes the legacy WordPress front end, improves app performance across Android and iOS platforms, and enhances customer experience. By streamlining employee dispatch and capturing real-time metrics, Meerby helps retailers boost in-store service and ultimately drive better sales. Through this project, we learned how modern front-end architecture can scale user experience in real-world retail environments.
