Subin thinks the interior is essentially a fusion of practicality and aesthetic beauty in the closest relationship with life, and it increases the value of life. She likes to make customers happy and she is happier when she can give them something new and good enough to surprise them. Analyzing the customer, identifying the needs, and implementing them as much as possible in reality is the most important thing for her. Subin’s philosophy of life is "persistence and effect are never betray", consistent with what she's been doing. Her goal is to always do her best in her work with passion.
This space is designed with a very close concept to nature because the location of the house was closer to the country than to the city center, and also the client couple living in the house takes care of their health. Nine spaces in the house have been renovated and one more space has been added. The previous interior was old, so poorly secured and used space, with narrow moving spaces and complex movements. However, the renovation has turned it into a more secretive and spacious house. In addition, custom space was provided in consideration of the client's situation. First, a spacious and neat kitchen for chef Mr. Moore, who runs the delivery business. Then, his kitchen, GYM, bedroom, and family space were all placed on the main floor to make it easier for Mr. Moore to move around due to the aftereffects of the stroke. Next for Mrs. Moore, who has many company video meetings, a confidential meeting booth that was perfectly soundproof was set up in a home office so that she could concentrate on her work. I also created a home GYM space for the two couples to exercise at home so that they could stay healthy without going far away in this situation. Next, I created a living space in the basement for the youngest daughter who doesn't live in a university dormitory so needs a living space. It is designed for studying and leisure in a spacious bedroom. In order to avoid overlapping movements with Mr. Moore, who frequently uses the kitchen, a separate kitchen was set up in the basement that look like another condo. Finally, for Moore's family, who often have family gatherings, a large table was set up in the dining space so that all families could have a pleasant meal together, and apart from the living room at the entrance, a family room was created where families could enjoy their free time together. Like this, the house has been renovated based on the client.
"Family room" shows classicality and modernity through a modern sofa and coffee table, European-feeling wainscotting and rug. The wall was based on the Ultimate Gray, the colour of the year 2021, with a wainscotting at the bottom to blend in with the traditional European classic Herringbone floor. It was used to create a warm atmosphere by placing a fireplace with gold marble on the corner. In addition, the concept was harmonized with a coffee table made of a gold border and gold marble, and an end table made of gold metal. Additionally, the vibe of the family room was achieved by combining trendy colours, beautiful curves and straight furniture with Marvel texture. Now the family can take their own time and memories in a closer and warmer atmosphere in this family room.
This condo is place in Toronto and designed for healing. Therefore, putting a purple wallpaper to create a bright atmosphere and a dining room has a light green wallpaper that blends with the fresh green leaf point wallpaper to fresh atmosphere. In addition, Marvel tables and pendant lights are installed to blend in with the kitchen. Lastly, a table and rattan chair was placed to make a place for relaxation and many plants were placed on the terrace to create harmony with surroundings.
Because it is a loft condominium, it emphasizes the sense of openness with long windows and folding doors. Also, the wall was finished with bricks and concrete to enhance the factory feeling that customers wanted. The spacious kitchen, an open living room, and a more open folding door helped to ventilate well and gave a sense of unity to the living room and kitchen, which would be the main living space. It also installed a large sink and two cooktops for customers who enjoy cooking. Apart from the dining room, a bar was connected to the island so that children could easily communicate with their parents who worked in the kitchen. In order to prevent children from falling, the stairs were connected by blocking both sides and the bottom, and a glass railing was installed to prevent them from looking stuffy. The children’s room, where children will mainly live, was based on the light yellow wallpaper and painted dark yellow point walls, considering their tastes, and let go of cute props. In addition, two-story beds were placed so that young children could live separately and together so that they could not be afraid when they went to bed.
This condo is designed for certain Korean celebrity 'Narae Park'. She is bright, energetic, active and distinctive, so I applied those characteristics to this condo. A room divider made for a liquor cabinet, a spacious table for her who is a party and drink lover, and a painting of a restaurant that represents her uniqueness, and finally a red sofa in the living room that represents her energy. I hope that she, who gives bright energy to people around her, gets more bright energy from this house.
