Heather previously worked as a visual merchandiser for over 10 years. She loved the ability to be creative on a daily basis, in an ever changing environment. She has taken her knowledge and experience of colour theory, space planning and connecting with people into the interior design field. Heather’s approach to design is all about functionality and simplicity.
This design includes wood flooring and accents in different tones to create contrast and balance, as well as a natural feel. Vertical and horizontal linear wood accents to create a sense of rhythm in the space. A clean and minimal atmosphere will be created through the use of a tonal colour palette.
The new design will include cove lighting and recessed baseboards throughout to create a clean, minimal feel. The design will also use dark grey wood flooring and white oak millwork as a way to add contrast. arch details will be used throughout the home, using shape to create a sense flow and balance. Overall, the home will use Scandinavian design to acheive a clean, organized atmosphere. Kids areas will use millwork and brighter tones to add fun to the space. grid shapes will be incorporated in millwork and tile to add pattern.
