The goal of this garage remodel was to create a space and environment to encourage creativity and promote a safe place to be expressive. The intention was to keep the space light enough to inhibit distractions but include a pop of colour here and there to enforce a fun atmosphere .This was done by keeping most walls white and switching out the standard garage door for a glass folding door to allow natural sunlight to peak through. Terrazzo flooring and pink accents are consistent throughout to add some colour. This garage features built in arches to keep the space interesting and inspiring by giving designs a “moment” of their own. Overall, this garage turned fashion studio is the perfect spot to get inspired.
The intention for the Space was reflect the clients lifestyle and create and environment that has fluidity. To achieve this, all shared family spaces were kept open concept, flowing into one another. Another goal of the space was to feel warm and cozy while reflecting natural elements to showcase the family’s love for nature and adventure. This was done through the use of materials like wood and shiplap throughout the house. The colour blue was also incorporated into the main living space to reflect water reflecting an outdoor atmosphere. Therefore, the language of design in this project was shown by using a modern farmhouse style.
The main goal of this project was to achieve a soft and natural look to make the space feel calming and serene. This was done through the use of natural and softer elements like wood paired with marble and glass. The space is warm, yet the full white paneled wall keeps the space feeling airy and fresh.
