The "Ethereal Escape" Garage renovation is an experiential space designed to encapsulate the celestial and spiritual landscape of Sedona, Arizona. When defining "Ethereal", a state of airiness comes to mind and the familiarity of my recent experience in Sedona floods my inspiration. The layout of the space is centred around a yoga and meditation studio, featuring a red stone zen garden, lounging/ rest area and a conversation bar, all emphasizing on the preserved pampas grass wall. The pink used as the primary colour of this project is inspired by the desert sunsets and accented with natural woods, and a prominent red influenced by the red rocks. Together, the fabrics, materials and finishes of this space collectively deliver an ethereal sense and create an escape within the space.
The "Bespoke Bliss" family room is designed to collectively incorporate each style preference of the family members sharing this space. A modern European style was the main inspiration for this space and is implemented through herringbone flooring, wainscoting, marble finishes and furniture selections. A "fresh" feeling is utilized through light finishes and materials that create chic feeling within the space.
This inclusive kitchen was designed fora young man in a wheelchair that works as a botanist. To create additional space and a more inviting atmosphere, the South and West wall were removed to create a larger, more dynamic space where the client can entertain guest and fully function within the space. Colours, textiles and materials are inspired by the clients love for fauna. Natural, woods, stone, plants and neutrals set the aesthetic tone for this space.
The "Curated Coastal" great room is designed for a large family living on Prince Edward Island. The design of this space is a tribute to the location and is intended to accommodate the family's ever-changing styles, preferences and interests. The ocean was the most influential factor for this project and the designs conceptual development. The colour palette is neutral and accented with golds and metallics that embody the sun on the water.
The design of the "Loft" project was designed and inspired by the clients needs. The vibe of the space is representational of a comfortable, cozy and relaxed feeling created by the immersion of geometric shapes and refined framing. Overall, the concept of this space is functional and ever-evolving in order to provide a space that can continually grow with and provide for the family.
