Focused, Energetic, Creative and Social are what best describe Brittanie. Throughout her childhood, it wasn’t hard for her to be inspired by her surroundings while growing up in rural Ontario, especially after she’d won the title of Fair Ambassador, highlighting the social butterfly talent she’d had as long as she could remember. Through the arts program in high school, there was a gradual appreciation in design and architecture, since it was a common highlight all over her hometown, which continued to inspire her designs heavily. Coming to Toronto, was a welcoming challenge that allowed her to bring her farm roots to a completely different and ever-changing market. It has been an incredible privilege to be working and growing alongside great students and teachers, where she has constantly developed, shaped and challenged her designs. In her spare time, you can find her either with friends and family, which fuels her social and fun-loving nature. When she's not with family, you can find her in front of the computer, working on improving her skills in programs, her art and networking.
Modern Ensuite and Powder Room both highlighting hints of home spa elements , connections and inspirations of vacationing at home. Throughout both spaces their is the overall cohesiveness with modern lines, shapes and an overall sense of refined elegance that elevate the space and reflect one's personality throughout the unique spaces. Connecting between the powder room and the ensuite, the use of half dark marble wall makes a pop of colour and creates a similar vignette and makes the spaces, even though far apart almost as one.
Moving into the final steps of this project, making sure to reflect the client’s lifestyle and values played a crucial role in designing the natural, fluid, organic concept with simpleness. The client's roots are in their ANISHABEE Indigenous culture that reflects throughout the design, but also within a custom partition wall. Therefore, the use of natural textures, integration of nature and a warm/relaxed colour palette was the project’s primary focus. Within all the rooms in the house, the connection of warmth, freshness, comfortability, for the clients and guests is easily felt. The design is based on lines, shapes, and layers, all with a touch of sophistication in materials and architectural details.
Natural, Salvaged, Worn and Industrious highlight the relaxing space that has artistic elements and creates a cohesive and functional space for the client to use and fall in love with. The Industrial Space creates a connection between the old and new and creates a space that allows the client to relax, feeling at home while sipping a coffee on their repurposed couch. The interior uses salvaged materials to connect deeper with the world around us. Salvaging showcases history in a whole new light and with a whole new client. The space features a circular fireplace, that connects with the accent art wall and comfy refurbished furniture. The touch of wood accents adds textured visual to the living room.
