This modern countryside cottage is inspired by nature. I have included many different types of wood and materials to make the cottage have a warm and cozy feel as well as adding some modern elements to enhance the overall look and design of the space. The neutral colour palette allows this space to have a sense of calmness, allowing the natural elements to stand out throughout the cottage.
This laundry room had to have the right amount of storage and functionality as well as being aesthetically pleasing. I decided to go with a neutral colour palette along with wood storage to create a sense of calmness in the space. The stackable washer and dryer allow for extra floor space throughout the room. The upper and lower cabinets with the pull out hanging racks provide just the right amount of storage needed in a laundry room.
This kitchen needed to be accommodating for both clients. One is in a wheelchair and the other one has a young child. Due to certain limitations with both clients, they need an accommodating kitchen and living space that is accessible to everyone. This space includes height and space considerations as well as easy to use appliances. Some of these features include adjustable countertops, drawer dishwasher, larger toe kicks, pull down shelving, induction cooktop and a french door wall oven. This kitchen has the appearances of a typical kitchen while also being accommodating for everyone regardless of their height, age, and disability.
For this full house renovation, the clients enjoy the outdoors and wanted a space that reflected each of their personalities. To create this design we wanted to include natural elements and symmetry to create a cohesive space. This design focuses on the natural light from the large windows throughout each room to create a relation between the indoors and outdoors. The natural elements and pops of colour in key furniture pieces add emphasis to the design of the home.
