Overview

This project presents a Smart Waste Management System designed to enhance efficiency, reduce operational costs, and support environmental sustainability through modern technology. The system integrates Raspberry Pi-connected sensors to monitor bin fill levels and CO₂ emissions, transmitting real-time data to a Firebase backend. An Android application enables users to create accounts, log in, and view the status of trash, compost, and recycle bins. Users receive real-time notifications and can manage their preferences through a settings interface. Designed for scalability and ease of use, this solution promotes eco-conscious behavior while enabling waste management organizations to make informed decisions through live, data-driven insights.
