We are taking Humber to the world!

Bachelor of Interior Design professor Zaiba Mian and two of her students, Lily Donald and Nicola Klahre, participated in the Maldives Enhancing Employability and Resilience of Youth (MEERY) project to promote equitable economic and social progress in the country.

Led by Seneca College in collaboration with Global Innovation & Skills Development Canada (GISDC), the team spent four months researching and working on designing the HIVE - an entrepreneurship incubation hub in Maldives that will increase employment and earning opportunities for local youth. The hub will provide opportunities to access coaching, mentorship and business expertise and will also play a key role in developing an entrepreneurial mindset across the country – specifically among youth and females.
