We are truly grateful to DEWALT for their commitment to Humber College and the Centre for Skilled Trades & Technology. Their partnership and $300,000 donation will support our Humber FAST students in the skilled trades and fund scholarships, tools for students and additional meaningful supports.
FAST is playing a significant role in addressing the skilled trade shortage in Ontario and demonstrating our commitment to building a strong future skilled workforce.
Associate Dean, Michael Auchincloss and Director, Academic Programs Skilled Trades & Apprenticeship, Philip Stubbs are valued faculty members who are committed to our students to prepare them for the jobs of the future. This also includes encouraging women to pursue a career in skilled trades and successfully thrive in a male-dominated industry.
DEWALT will provide brand ambassadors, including Kate Campbell who runs her own company, Kate’s Contracting Inc. and was a former guest on HGTV “Holmes on Holmes.” Kate will appear at Humber events and support recruiting the next generation of skilled trades professionals while empowering women to put on a hard hat and a pair of steel-toe boots and shatter the glass ceiling on pursuing a career in skilled trades.
