Electromechanical Engineering Technology students from the Faculty of Applied Sciences and Technology (FAST) worked against the clock to build automated production systems for a chance to compete in the 2020 Skills Ontario provincial competition for Mechatronics. Held in the Barrett Centre for Technology Innovation (CTI), the event was hosted by SEW-Eurodrive, a founding partner of the Barrett CTI, and an outstanding partner to our advanced manufacturing programs.
Students demonstrated their skills in automation, mechanical build, electrical wiring, troubleshooting, speed execution, pic programming & professional practice.
Congratulations to the winning teams who will advance to the 2020 Skills Ontario provincial competition: senior team members Marko Gunja and Hartej Tapia, and, junior team members, Zackary Kennedy and Nickolas De Boer. Awesome job!
