Ontario Building Code (OBC) Compliance

Program Overview

The Ontario Building Code (OBC) Compliance certificate program is designed for professionals in the construction industry, designers, building officials, plan examiners or registered code agencies (RCA) who provide professional services related to the Ontario Building Code.

The program consists of five courses. You will learn from experienced instructors who are knowledgeable about the OBC.

Additional Information 

Building Code Exams:

Students who successfully complete all five courses will be prepared to write these Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing (MMAH) Building Code exams:

  • House exam
  • General Legal exam

To register for a Building Code exam, you require a Building Code Identification Number (BCIN) from the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing. See the details on the web in the Qualification and registration section - www.mah.gov.on.ca/Page7393.aspx

To Receive Your Humber College Certificate:

Once you have successfully completed all the required courses in this program, please email graduation@humber.ca to request your certificate. Please make sure to include your first and last name, student number, program title and current mailing address in your email.
