Michelin Challenge Design Competition

cierzo c1 hero

One of our graduates from last year, Kurt Scanlan, has placed third overall in the Michelin Challenge Design Competition with a project that he developed in his 4th year Vehicle Studio class.

Josh Gadomski, from the same class was a finalist in the same competition. Their were 10 finalists (including the three eventual winners) and 10 honourable mentions beyond that.

This is a great achievement - the Michelin Challenge Design Competition is an established worldwide competition and the competition is always very stiff. We have had students achieve "Honourable Mentions" in the past (Ryan Ebbers in the 2016 competition and Jordie Lewis in the 2011 competition), but this is the first and only time that we have placed in the Michelin Challenge.

To have had two students from a single studio class be considered finalists in a worldwide competition is very special indeed.
