INTERIOR DESIGN STUDENTS LEND A HAND TO HABITAT

By Laura Stricker on March 21, 2017

Humber's Interior Design students are often found working in the school's design studio, sketching or working on their laptops. Last month they stowed their laptops away for a day, heading to Brampton wearing hard hats and safety shoes.

The students - Rami Dawood, Alexeis Nicole, Meliza Macapinlac, Victoria MacQuarrie, Amal Shaikh-Deeb, Claire Formosa, Nour Kassab, Alaa Elsawi, Elena Panzica, Natascha Del Prete Silva, Jhutty Rajvir, Lilit Ayrapetyan, Talia Missaghi, Samanta Sébastien, Sharon Murad, Hanan Hmeed and Yi Wu Lin - participated in a Habitat for Humanity build day.

The enthusiastic group worked an eight-hour volunteer shift leveling dirt, installing scaffolding structure and scaffolding flooring and transporting building materials.
